The only thing that hurts is that you can't have revival protocol and combat protocol. Outside of OW spec you lose on killing power it makes up for it. I tried several specs and liked them all. Specialists are just a huge bag of tricks, great for officers. Flamethrower is damn good, and you can easily spec a technical to tank. basically you can go out fighting instead of nope you few turns too late fade to black.

Missions have gotten more timers on them but reinforcements come in a bit sooner and can get very numerous quick if you stay to long.Īlso because reinforcements stream in bit sooner it does make missions harder if you take too long but still a chance to finish it as opposed to the fade to black because you were few turns to slow feels better. basically you drop in push towards loot/material wipe as many aliens as possible get the loot and get out before advent send in overwhelming forces. Mission like smash and grab is kind of what long war 2 is for me. Not to mention fixed evacs for jailbreaks generally (not always) being further from the people you are trying to evac out.Īlso pod sizes are smaller allowing you to actually engage instead of going nope too many move on.
